SO-CLOSE has a new leader of the project!

We are delighted to welcome Ainhoa Flecha as the leader of the SO-CLOSE project.

Dr. Ainhoa Flecha is an expert in sociology conducting research at several highly ranked universities. She has also been the Workpackage Leader in the H2020 Project “SOLIDUS: Solidarity in European Societies: Empowerment, Social Justice and Citizenship” and participated as an Principal Investigator in numerous international projects.

She is currently the editor of the RASP – Research on Aging and Social Policy Journal, indexed on the Web of Science, and the new leader of the SO-CLOSE Team.

Biographical note:

Since she graduated in 2001, Dr. Ainhoa Flecha has conducted research in the area of sociology from different universities – Universitat de Barcelona, University of Zaragoza and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. This activity has been complemented with visiting fellowships at the University of Harvard (USA) in 2004 and 2008, the University of Würzburg (Germany) in 2014 and the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2015.

She has been Workpackage Leader in the H2020 Project “SOLIDUS: Solidarity in European Societies: Empowerment, Social Justice and Citizenship” (2015-2018). She also participated as IP of the UAB in the Project “SALEACOM. Overcoming Inequalities in Schools and Learning Communities: Innovative Education for a New Century”, of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange Program of the 7th Framework Program of the EC.

She has also published in the1st Quartile Qualitative Inquiry. She is currently editor of the journal RASP – Research on Aging and Social Policy, indexed in Web of Science.
